HOW IT WORKS.

HOW IT WORKS

SO FUNKTIONIERT'S

Choose the tour that suits you best

The tours described on this site are within everyone's reach, suitable for both adults and children.

You decide what to see

Once you have selected the tour, identify the points of interest that most appeal to you and the stops at which to get off to visit them. For each itinerary you will find an interactive map that will help you plan your tour.

Set the length of the trip

Half day? A whole day? The choice is yours based on how many points of interest you want to see and how long you want to stop at each one (on the site, each point of interest is described to give an idea of what it offers) and remembering that at stops, on public holidays and on Sundays, a bus passes every 15 minutes and a train every 30 minutes (timetables change compared to weekdays).

Make sure you have a regular ticket

During the tour, to get on and off the transport, you must always have a regular ticket.

  • With a maximum CHF 15.60 day pass you can move, freely and for the whole day, throughout the whole area covered by the tours (*)! Children under the age of 6 travel for free, while children under the age of 16 pay half.
  • If you already have an Arcobaleno pass for the areas covered by the tours, you can use that.

You can buy your Arcobaleno ticket:

  • At ticket vending machines;
  • at the TPL information and sales office at the terminal bus shelter in Lugano Centro;
  • online on the SBB webshop.

(*)(*) If you arrive from outside Lugano, you can leave directly from your home by public transport. The cost of the ticket varies according to the zones necessary for the desired journey, from the place of departure and arrival. The Arcobaleno fare community uses the "Zone/Time" system, which implies the possibility of using all transport (e.g. buses, trains) in the zones purchased for the duration of the ticket's validity.
